Sunny and pleasant summer weather is expected in the highlands and the plains, with temperatures hovering around their annual average reaching a high of 33 Degrees Celsius in Amman, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its forecast for Thursday and Friday.
In the late afternoon and evening hours, cooler weather is forecast as mercury levels slide to around 23C, the JMD added.
The weather will be much hotter in the southern port city of Aqaba, the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea with highs jumping to around 41C, sliding to nearly 29C at night, the JMD noted.
On Saturday, mercury levels will rise few degrees becoming above their seasonal average and bringing relatively hot conditions in the hilly areas and the plains, and scorching weather in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, the meteorologists predicted.
