The Jordan Pharmacists Association (JPA) has said that Jordanian food and medicines are safe and urged the public to shun unfounded rumors suggesting otherwise.
In a statement on Tuesday, the JPA voiced confidence in the Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) and called on citizens to stand up against those trying to undermine its mandate regarding food and drug regulation.
The Association added that Jordanian foodstuffs and medicinal products are exported to many countries worldwide, which is a testament of their safety, warning that questioning the safety of Jordanian foods and drugs risks harming the national economy.
President of the JPA Zaid Alkilany said that JFDA follows the best international protocols and practices to monitor the safety of food and drugs in the Kingdom, noting the body’s continuous follow-up on markets.
