PHA head calls on offering medical assistance to Palestinian people

The Private Hospitals Association (PHA) called on the International Hospital Federation (IHF) and the Arab Hospital Federation (AHF) to support and assist the Palestinian people in facing the “brutal” Israeli aggression and its human and material losses.

In a press statement on Thursday, the PHA’s president, Fawzi Hammouri, said letters were sent to IHF and AHF on the initiatives undertaken by the PHA-affiliated private hospital members aimed to enhance steadfastness of the brotherly Palestinian people and alleviate their suffering.

Hammouri expressed hope that the two federations and their member hospitals would take similar initiatives to help the Palestinian people.

AHF Secretary General, Tawfiq bin Ahmed Khoja, affirmed his solidarity and support for the initiatives of Jordan’s private hospitals, Hammouri announced.

On action to help Palestinians, he said AHF will address the Arab League, and the Council of Arab Ministers of Health (CAMH) to move “quickly and implement similar initiatives and support the health sector in Palestine, which includes urgent assistance to Palestinians through the CAMH Arab Health Emergency Committee.”
