Petra’s director highlights role of Orange Jordan in serving economy
Jordan News Agency, Petra Director-General, Mohammad Omari, on Sunday emphasized the role of Orange Jordan in serving the Jordanian economy and improving the telecommunications market in Jordan.
During a meeting with the Chief Executive of Orange Jordan, Terry Marini, Omari said that the Jordanian telecommunications market is one of the most competitive and growing markets in the region. He expressed his pride in cooperation between the agency and the telecommunications company, which embodies the collaborative relationship between the public and private sectors.
“Petra is sure to uphold its role in providing correct and substantiated information for the Jordanian community and its various institutions,” Omari added.
Marini praised Petra’s role in serving Jordanian national institutions through covering the news, highlighting the Jordanian society’s issues, working to address them, and dealing with them with credibility and transparency.
The investment environment in Jordan is very encouraging and the Jordanian telecommunications sector is quite competitive, Marini added, noting that the reasonable prices have enabled the various segments of society to own a phone and access the world through telecommunications.
He also pointed to Orange Jordan’s role in providing the latest in telecommunications in the Jordanian market, indicating that Orange Jordan’s top priority is bringing Internet to homes by Fiber, and has come a long way in this field.
Marini stressed the company’s role in supporting national institutions and effectively contributing to the development of the Jordanian society through the implementation of several initiatives of social responsibility in various sectors and in different regions of the Kingdom.
He also highlighted its role in providing the latest technologies to build a leading communications and information network that would earn Jordan an advanced position in the region.
