Palestinians urge int’l community to prevent Judaization of Hebron
Ramallah, Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called on the international community, chief of which the UNISCO, to promptly intervene to halt Israeli decision to set up a settlement outpost in the heart of Hebron city in the occupied West Bank.
The ministry said in a statement Monday that following through on the decision is a flagrant violation of international law and the Geneva conventions, and a continued disregard of international legitimacy and resolutions.
It urged Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, to provide protection for the Palestinians and for the International Criminal Court (ICC) to open an investigation into Israeli “crimes,” primarily the establishment of illegal settlements on Palestinian occupied lands.
