Palestinians injured in clashes with Israeli forces in Hebrew
Scores of Palestinian students suffered suffocation as Israeli soldiers threw tear gas canisters inside schools in the West Bank city of Hebron, the principal of Al-Hagerya school, Ammar Jaber, said in a statement on Thursday.
“We were shocked this morning by the numbers of tear gas canisters the Israeli soldiers threw inside schools in the area,” Jaber said, adding that “scores of students and teachers suffered suffocation, and that the locals and medical cadres transferred the injured to Muhammad Ali al-Muhtaseb Hospital for treatment”.
A state of tension prevailed at the schools and classes were disrupted due to the incident, Jaber added.
The occupation troops prevented the teachers and students from reaching Cordoba School in Al-Shuhada Street, by closing the electronic gates of the school.
