Oil derivatives prices rise globally

The prices of oil derivatives in global markets have risen in the fourth week of September compared to the third week, according to data released on Monday by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

The data showed that the price of 90-octane gasoline inched up by 1.3 percent, going from $696 per ton in the third week of September to $705.4 in the fourth week, while the price of 95-octane gasoline rose from $716 per ton to $726.2, constituting a 1.4 percent increase.

Diesel prices also picked up by 2.2 percent going from $604.1 per ton to $617.3, while the prices of kerosene rose by 2.6 percent from $632 to $648.4 per ton. The prices of liquefied gas for September stood at $665 per ton, a 1.3-percent rise from $656.3 in August.

Meanwhile, in the fourth week of September, benchmark Brent crude prices inched up from $73.9 to $75.3 per barrel.
