The Sub-Committee for Receiving and Redressing the affected people at Sana'a International Airport held a meeting on Monday, headed by the Deputy Minister of Justice, Chairman of the Committee, Dr. Ismail Al-Wazir.
The meeting, which was attended by the director of the new Sana’a airport project, Eng. Ashraf Bayrak, and the representative of the Ministry of Interior - the director of the secretariat’s investigations, Colonel Muhammad Al-Khatib, decided to submit the results of the sub-committee’s work to the Deputy Prime Minister for Security and Defense Affairs - the head of the main committee to preserve the Sana’a Airport campus, Lieutenant General Jalal Al-Ruwaishan, to review and approve the results of the meetings regarding compensation for those affected, according to the available capabilities and as soon as possible.
The meeting, which included the head of the technical team of the Compensation Committee, Naji Salah, and the property manager of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Ibrahim Al-Mahdi, stressed the need to address the head of the General Authority for Survey and Urban Planning to implement a summary of the results of the meetings.
The sub-committee also confirmed the start of studying the files claiming compensation, which included all the basic data, documents and necessary documents based on the concern to preserve the airport campus and to decide on citizens' complaints related to the airport campus and its surrounding areas.
