Mafraq car crash claims lives of 6

Six people died and four others were injured in a car crash in the northern Governorate of Mafraq.

 

Rescue and ambulance cadres in the Mafraq Civil Defense Directorate received reports on a road accident between two vehicles on Mafraq’s Jaber International Road, which claimed the life of six people and injured four others who suffered various fractures and bruises, the spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said in a statement.

 

Rescue teams provided the necessary first aid to the injured, transferred them and evacuated the bodies to the Mafraq Public Hospital, where the injured were put under treatment, and a traffic investigation was initiated into the accident, the PSD spokesperson added.

 

Director of the Mafraq Public Hospital, Muqbil Al-Shorofat, told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that 6 fatalities resulted from the Mafraq accident were referred to forensics.

 

Al-Shorofat added that the accident also resulted in 4 injuries, and the necessary first aid was administered to them and they were admitted to the hospital, and their general condition is moderate.
