Labor minister meets, Egyptian, Lebanese counterparts, Qatari official in Cairo

Cairo, Minister of Labor Samir Said Murad and his Egyptian counterpart Mohammed Saafan on Sunday discussed on the sidelines of the Arab Labor Conference, currently being held in Cairo, a number of issues of common interest in various fields of labor and means of enhancing them to serve the two countries.

Murad stressed the need to come up with joint action mechanisms and suggestions that both sides agree on to regulate the Egyptian labor in Jordan to avoid taking legal action against violators.

Egyptian Labor Minister Mohammed Saafan, said the Egyptian side is working hard to use all available channels of communication to inform and educate Egyptian workers abroad to comply with the laws of host countries.

In another meeting, Murad and his Lebanese counterpart Kamil Abu Suleiman a number of issues related to labor and means of enhancing them.

They stressed the importance of cooperation, joint coordination and exchange of expertise in a number of fields, especially vocational and technical training, entrepreneurship and inspection.

The Labor Minister also met with the Qatari Ministry of Labor Secretary General Youssef bin Mohammed Al Othman, and discussed a number of issues of common interest, ways of enhancing bilateral cooperation in the field of labor and ways to develop bilateral cooperation in labor and employers between the two countries.
