King Salman Center to distribute 41,000 food parcels to needy families

Amman, The Director of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center in Jordan, Saud bin Abdulaziz Al-Hazeem, Tuesday signed a contract to supply more than 41,000 food parcels for distribution to impoverished Jordanian, Syrian and Palestinian families during the holy month of Ramadan.

The Saudi embassy in Amman said in a press statement today that the centre will hand out the food parcels worth more than one million dollars to beneficiary families in cooperation with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation.

The food aid, it said, will be distributed within a plan taking into consideration the measures taken by the Jordanian government to protect its citizens and residents from the COVID-19 pandemic.
