KHBP expansion master plan kicks off

Amman, The Business Park Company; the master developer of the King Hussein Business Development Zone, signed an agreement with the Engineering Consultant Company, Engicon, to develop the detailed architectural designs for the construction and implementation of the first phase of the King Hussein Business Park (KHBP) expansion master plan, according to a statement.

It said the first phase includes the addition of approximately 40,000 square meters of office space to the current Business Park location. The agreement was signed by Eng. Soud Soror, CEO of KHBP, and Mr. Tarek Zureiqat, CEO of Engicon.

Under the protocol, Engicon will prepare the architectural designs for the new buildings in phase one, which will include office space of international standards ready to be used by local, regional and international companies, as well as the designs to its supporting facilities such as parking lot, business facilities and support services. The new buildings will be common in appearance to the existing buildings of KHBP and will share the same architectural language. Nevertheless, with enhanced and more efficient layout.

“The business park has succeeded in attracting leading international, regional and local companies and projects to become a hub for business and an incubator for creativity and innovation with capabilities of attracting more investments. With the increasing demand for office space by many local and international firms, the management of the business park has prepared a comprehensive expansion plan on an area of 1.4 million square meters. The first phase of the plan will now be implemented through the development of approximately (40,000) square meters of office space and business facilities”, said Soror.

Zureiqat , for his part, said “The project will build on the current success of the KHBP and that Engicon will work with its sister company, Praxis, to design the right smart solutions derived from experienced engineers available in the company.” //Petra// YK
