Karate fighter Masatfa books spot in Olympic’s medal game

Jordan’s Karate fighter AbdulRahman Masatfa on Thursday secured a spot in a medal game at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, after achieving four straight victories to top his group with a high score and qualify for the semi-finals.

 

According to the Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC), four players, including Masatfa, will compete to win four medals. “Winning today’s competition will give him the chance to fight in the finals,” the JOC added.

 

So far, Jordan has won one medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics with a taekwondo achievement as Saleh Al-Sharabaty won the silver in the 80 kg category.
