President of Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), Dr. Khaled Salem, on Thursday discussed with the Saudi cultural attaché, Dr. Issa Rumaih, aspects of joint cooperation and coordination.
The discussions also went over many issues related to Saudi students enrolled at the university and the facilitations provided to them, according a JUST statement.
Salem and Rumaih affirmed the “deep-rooted, strong, historic” relations between the two countries, and voiced keenness to launch continuous joint coordination related to Saudi students’ conditions, and the possibility of increasing their number, the statement added.
Salem said the university’s student-driven interest aligns with its mission to develop its educational process system, serve students and provide the appropriate academic environment.
Salem called for the necessity of activating partnership and cooperation with Saudi academic and research institutions and exchanging expertise, in a way that contributes to developing level of the two kingsoms’ teaching and scientific research.
Rumaih, for his part, lauded JUST’s “distinguished” educational and academic level, expressing appreciation to the university’s support to Saudi students, and its facilitations aimed to create an appropriate campus environment.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Rumaih met with Saudi students enrolled at the university to learn about their their academic conditions.
