GeneralJordanian schools 1st semester's final exams preponed to next December 8-Education ministry

Jordan’s school final exams for the first semester are preponed to kick off on December 8, Minister of Education, Dr. Wajih Owais, announced at an expanded meeting of the ministry’s planning committee held on Wednesday.

The committee also decided to begin the second semester 2021/2022 on next February 2, which fixes the total days of the current academic year unchanged at 195, in line with the approved school calendar.

In press remarks, the ministry’s Secretary-General for Educational Affairs, Dr. Nawaf Ajarma, said this decision seeks to protect the students’ safety and health, given the pandemic’s developments and the pursuit to shun high number of Covid-19 cases, as the chances of infections spike during the winter period.
