The Jordanian embassy in Cairo said that it is following up on investigation into the death of Jordanian citizen Mohammad Ayman al-Ibrahim, who had a car accident in Egypt on Monday morning.
The embassy, from the moment it was informed of the accident, took all necessary measures with Egyptian security authorities, which initiated an investigation into the incident, and contacted the family of the deceased in Jordan, through the operations center at the Foreign Ministry, an embassy statement said on Monday.
The Jordanian consul at the embassy said investigations conducted by the Egyptian authorities into the accident hasn’t concluded yet, and the involved driver surrendered to the Egyptian police, while the late al-Ibrahim was rushed to the hospital where he was announced dead.
He added that, in coordination with family of the deceased, his body will be transferred to Jordan as soon as the investigations conclude.
In its statement, the Jordanian embassy expressed its sincere condolences and sympathy to the family of the deceased.
