Jordan urges adherence to Yemen Agreement
Amman, Jordan Monday called on the Yemeni parties to adhere to
the Riyadh Agreement, saying that implementing its provisions is necessary to
protect the interests of the brotherly people of Yemen and ensure the success
of efforts to resolve the crisis in the country and spare its people more
conflict and suffering.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi expressed support of a statement by the Saudi-led Coalition to Support legitimacy in Yemen calling for abolishing any move contrary to the Riyadh Agreement, and to work in earnest to implement all the articles of the agreement, which was adopted as a framework to achieve peace and serve the interests of the Yemeni people.
Safadi, in a statement, stressed that Jordan fully supports the efforts of the brothers in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to reach a political solution to the Yemeni crisis in accordance with the accredited references “in a manner that guarantees the security, stability and territorial integrity of brotherly Yemen.
The Foreign Minister said that collective efforts are needed to resolve the Yemeni crisis, according to the agreed terms of references.
