Jordan-UAE parliamentary committees discuss ties

Dubai, The Jordanian-UAE Parliamentary Friendship Committee, and the United Arab Emirates’ Committee for Friendship with Arab Parliaments Saturday discussed parliamentary, political and economic relations between the two countries.

“The exchange of visits reflects a common desire to further cement the brotherly ties at various levels,” the Jordanian committee’s President, MP Zaid Shawabkeh, said on arrival in Dubai at the head of a five-member team.

For his part, Chairman of the UAE Friendship Committee, MP Khalid Al-Falasi, stressed the deep brotherly relations linking the two countries.

The visit comes after the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two countries’ legislatures to promote parliamentary relations, exchange expertise and hold bilateral meetings.
