Jordan, UAE explore facilitation of air freight
Jordanian and UAE air transport officials have been exploring ways to facilitate air freight shipping between the two countries and find practical solutions to improve the operational environment in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis.
The Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC) said in a statement that its chief Haitham Misto held a teleconference with Director-General of the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority and agreed on a mechanism to coordinate measures to be taken to curb the spread of the disease and ensure safe shipping and forwarding operations.
The two sides also agreed to take whatever necessary and provide all technical support needed to ensure smooth and safe movement of passengers and cargo at these critical times, the statement said.
