Jordan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), on Wednesday, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), on improving government apparatus performance and services.

The MoU, which was signed by Minister of Public Sector Development, Majd Shweikeh, and UAE Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Future, Mohammad Al Gergawi, aims at developing government services to benefit citizens, as well as, strengthening institutional capacity and mutual benefit, in the development of government work.

Fields of cooperation focus on the exchange of expertise, and best practices, in the fields of developing government and smart services, managing and evaluating institutional performance, innovation and excellence, building and developing leadership and capabilities, as well as, cooperation in the field of government development, through transferring knowledge and benefiting from mutual expertise in these fields.

The MoU contains a number of items that form the general framework for cooperation, and defines the formation of a joint technical committee, to regulate the implementation of this agreement.
