Jordan, Hungary talk economic relations

Vice President of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC), Jamal Rifai, discussed with Hungarian Ambassador to Jordan, Attila Kali, ways to develop joint economic and trade relations and role of commerce chambers in strengthening them. According to a JCC statement on Saturday, the meeting went over developing cooperation in multiple economic issues of common interest, networking the two countries’ businesspeople and strengthening their joint partnership. Rifai stressed the need to hold a Jordanian-Hungarian business forum on the sidelines of the joint Jordanian-Hungarian committee, which is scheduled to held later this year aimed to presenting the two countries’ investment opportunities and focusing on sectors that can be marketed. For his part, Kali noted the need to strengthen joint economic relations, seize available opportunities, exchange trade delegations’ visits. The statement indicated that the meeting focused on the necessity of continuing meetings and exchanging information, would reflect on the two countries’ commercial exchanges. During 2022, the Kingdom’s exports to Hungary amounted to $1.15 million dollars, compared to $34 million in imports, according to official data.
