Jordan, Czech discuss cementing cooperation
Prague, President of the Senate, Faisal Al-Fayez, Tuesday held separate meetings with the President of the Senate of the Czech Republic, Jaroslav Kubera, and Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Radek Vondracek, in Prague, Czech, for discussions on bolstering Jordanian-Czech ties.
Al-Fayez and the Czech legislators underscored the desire to further enhance the Jordanian-Czech relations at all levels and build on them. Fayez pointed out to the many opportunities Czech investors can leverage to invest in the Kingdom in cooperation with the Jordanian private sector.
He urged Czech senators and MPs to play a role in encouraging Czech investors and businessmen to come explore investment opportunities in the Kingdom to make use of the many opportunities available in various promising sectors.
Al-Fayez reviewed developments and challenges in the Middle East and effort to push forward the peace process in the region, underlining the EU’s role in finding a just and lasting peace settlement to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
He also called on the international community to exert more effort in finding a solution to the Syrian crisis and channel more agenda to combating terrorism.
In turn, both Kubera and Vondracek commended Jordan’s role and effort to bring an end to the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East and to foster peace, noting His Majesty King Abdullah II’s effort to combat terrorism, pointing out that there are a lot of commonalities between the two countries.
