Amman, Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Tareq Hammouri on Saturday announced that talks are underway to set up a joint investment fund between commercial banks and the Social Security Investment Fund (SSIF) to invest in infrastructure and major development projects.
Since more than two months, the SSIF, and the Central Bank of Jordan have been engaged in talks with local commercial banks and a number of Arab and foreign investment funds to review the mechanism of cooperation and study the best scenarios for the legal form of the fund.
