Joint Jordanian-Tunisian Committee to boost investment

Amman, A Joint Jordanian-Tunisian Committee on Investment on Sunday signed the minutes of its meeting held in Amman at the Jordan Investment Commission (JIC) premises.

Secretary General of the JIC, Feridun Hartokah, and President of the Tunisian Investment Authority, Baligh Bin Sultan, signed the minutes of the meeting.

Minister of State for Investment Affairs, Muhannad Shehadeh, said that: “The brotherly relations between Jordan and Tunisia are strong thanks to the leaderships of both countries and their keenness to support bilateral cooperation in all fields, especially the economic, investment, and trade spheres.”

He said that Jordan seeks to increase its exports to Tunisia, as well as attract more Tunisian investments to the Kingdom, he added.

He said: “We believe in the reciprocal economic benefits between the two countries, so we must focus on collaboration and bilateral meetings between the private and public sectors of both countries.”

President of the Tunisian Investment Authority, Baligh Bin Sultan, said that the Jordanian-Tunisian relations are strategic, emphasizing the importance of benefiting from the available opportunities and facilities, especially that Jordan and Tunisia are signatories to the Agadir Agreement.
