“Under Royal directives that Jordan should stand by Lebanon, mainly during this difficult circumstance, the organization has dispatched its first batch of humanitarian aid to Beirut, in coordination with the Jordan Armed Forces- Arab Army and the Lebanese authorities,” JHCO Secretary General AymanMifleh told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) on Thursday.
Today’s aid consists of food, medical and relief supplies, generators, and solar-powered lights, according to the needs announced by Lebanon after a massive explosion hit Beirut last week, he added.
The Kingdom had sent a Jordanian military field hospital to Lebanon equipped for conducting surgeries, including 48 beds, 10 ICU beds and two operating rooms.
