JEBA, Polish envoy discuss joint economic relations

The Board of Directors of the Jordan Europe Business Association (JEBA) discussed on Wednesday, with the Polish Ambassador to Jordan, Lucjan Karpinski, mechanisms for strengthening trade, economic and investment relations between the two countries, especially at the level of private sector institutions.

During the meeting, which was held at the JEBA’s headquarters, the two sides said Jordan and Poland enjoy “good” relations in various fields, stressing the need to enhance contact between the two countries’ business community to raise trade exchange volume, which witnessed a “remarkable” growth during the first quarter of 2021.

In a press statement, the JEBA head, Jamal Badran, said Poland is a country that possesses “important and promising” prospects in various economic fields, which the Jordanian private sector can benefit from and establish commercial and investment partnerships with Polish companies.

Badran called on encouraging Polish businesspeople to set up investment projects in Jordan and take advantage of the incentives and opportunities offered by Jordan’s business environment, especially the Kingdom’s “distinguished” geographical location in the region.

Badran pointed out that the JEBA cooperated with the Polish embassy in exchanging visits of delegations and organizing meetings between the two countries’ companies, in addition to signing two cooperation agreements between JEBA, the Polish Chamber of Commerce (PCC) and Employers of Poland.

The envoy, for his part, expressed his readiness to orchestrate joint efforts with JEBA for the purpose of serving Jordanian and Polish business community and meeting their needs, calling on activating the cooperation agreements signed between the two countries for their “effective” role in enhancing economic cooperation prospects.
