JCI organizes a Jordanian pavilion in Anuga food industry exhibition in Germany

The Jordan Chamber of Industry (JCI) organized a Jordanian pavilion at Anuga, the leading global trade fair for the food and beverage industry in Cologne, Germany, held October 9-13.

The JCJ, in a press statement on Saturday, said the pavilion featured a number of Jordanian companies.

T JCI head, Fathi Jaghbir, said the exhibition is “important” to enable national exports enter the EU market, which would help Jordanian exporters to share their expertise and learn about the participants’ food industry experience by discovering innovative products and industry mechanisms, and communicating with new partners.

Jaghbir stressed the importance of the presence of Jordanian companies in the “largest” trade fairs in the world, which houses about 4,600 companies from 97 countries, including Belgium, Germany, France, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Turkey, and the United States of America, the statement said.

Jordan’s participation in the exhibition will pave the way more for the Jordanian food industries to enter EU markets, especially as they comply with the “highest” Jordanian, European and American specifications, according to Jaghbir.

Jaghbir also said the JCI’s “constant” endeavor to represent the Kingdom in all international exhibitions and forums, thus increasing competitiveness of Jordanian industries in comparison with Arab and International industrial companies.

For his part, , the JCI Vice President, representative of food, catering, agricultural, and livestock industries sector, said the JCI intends to increase the number of companies participating in the Anuga exhibition in its next session, while increasing the area of the Jordanian pavilion.

Jitan also stressed the importance of the food industrial companies’ participation in the event to learn about experiences and technologies and to find new markets.
