JBA chairman highlights Jordanian-Qatari Business Council meetings’ outcomes
Amman, Chairman of the Jordanian Businessmen Association (JBA), Hamdi Tabba, Wednesday briefed the Qatari Ambassador to Jordan, Sheikh Saud bin Nasser Al Thani, on the outcomes of the meetings of the Jordanian-Qatari Business Council, which was held in Doha to discuss ways of developing Jordanian-Qatari economic ties.
Tabbaa pointed out that the meetings touched on several issues, including new investment projects, recruitment of qualified Jordanian labor force and easing the grant of visas to the Jordanian private sector.
He noted the meetings that were held by the Jordanian delegation and their visits to a number of official institutions during which they discussed the most pressing issues for the business communities in both countries, pointing out that it was agreed to develop a working mechanism to discuss future prospects for investment opportunities and joint cooperation in the most important economic sectors.
The second session of the Jordanian-Qatari Business Council will be held soon in Amman, following continued coordination with Chairman of the Qatari Businessmen Association, Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al-Thani.
In turn, Al-Thani underscored the importance of the Council in strengthening the Jordanian-Qatari relations at on economic, trade and investment levels, stressing that the embassy is ready to provide all forms of cooperation to follow up with the outcomes of the meetings and recommendations with the concerned authorities.
