Israeli Knesset passes bill to ease restrictions on death penalty
Jerusalem, The Israeli Knesset, on Wednesday, passed, in a preliminary reading, a bill allowing the execution of Palestinians, who “carry out operations against Israel”.
Fifty-two Knesset members voted in favor of the bill, while 49 voted against it, according to Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper.
Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu said the bill will be passed through the three readings in the Knesset, adding that: “The current situation allows the military prosecution to demand the capital punishment.”
