Israeli forces injure Palestinian protesters in northern Tulkarm

Ramallah, Tens of Palestinian youth suffered from suffocation as the Israeli army fired tear gas grenades at them in clashes near the separation wall in the occupied northern West Bank city of Tulkarm, Palestinian source said on Thursday.

Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said in a statement that Israeli troops deployed heavy reinforcements around the separation wall’s agriculture gate and shot barrages of gas grenades at the peaceful protesters, who denounced the heinous assassination of Ashraf Na’alwa.

Israeli troops prevented journalists and photographers from covering the clashes and forced them to leave, the PRCS added.

An Israeli elite unit assassinated Na’alwa, from the Shweika suburb north of Tulkarm, early today in the Askar Refugee Camp, east of the occupied city of Nablus and held his body.

Palestinians took to the street once they heard of Na’alwa’s assassination, demanding international protection and denouncing this appalling crime.
