Israel grabs more land in occupied West Bank
Ramallah, The Israeli occupation authority on Tuesday issued a military order for the expropriation of 385 dunams (about 100 acres) of agricultural land in the northern Jordan Valley of the occupied West Bank to build a new road for Jewish settlers.
The so-called Civil Administration of the occupation authority, distributed leaflets to seize the lands that belong to Palestinians of the towns of Tubas, Tammoun and Tayasir, said Mutaz Besharat, the Palestinian Authority official monitoring the settlement activity in the region.
He said that the road construction scheme is only a few meters from Palestinian homes and a school and would require that local Palestinian villagers obtain a special permit to access their farms.
