Israel demolishes home in Silwan, approves demolishing Khan al-Ahmar

Ramallah, Israeli occupation Bulldozers Wednesday demolished a home in Silwan neighborhood, south of the al-Aqsa Mosque/al-Haram al-Sharif in occupied Jerusalem, a Palestinian source said.

The Wadi Hilweh Information Center in Silwan said in a statement that the Israeli occupation troops cordoned the area and a house that belongs to the Abu Sawi family. They prevented citizens from coming near the area as they demolished the house.

In a different incident, the High Court of Justice ruled on Wednesday that the West Bank Bedouin village of Khan al-Ahmar east of occupied Jerusalem can be demolished after a week. Head of the Wall and Settlements Resistance Committee, Walid Assaf, said that according to the committee’s lawyers, the court gave the Israeli army authority to start evicting and demolish, adding that there is a decision to prevent citizens from returning and living there again.
