Israel confiscates 72 dunums of Palestinian lands south of Bethlehem
Ramallah, Israeli occupation authorities Sunday announced the confiscation of 72 dunums of Palestinian-owned lands in Al-Khader town south of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank, according to Palestinian sources.
The coordinator of the Popular Committee Against the Wall and Settlements, Ahmad Salah, said in a statement that Israeli forces seized 72 dunums of lands in Um Rukba and Khirbet Alia for military purposes.
The lands confiscated belong to the families of Salah and Subaih and this measure was taken as employees from the so-called “Civil Administration” scanned the lands in the area of Um Rukba, under the pretext they are constructing a huge circle and make a construct a road towards Solomon’s Pool.
Israeli occupation authorities escalated their arbitrary measures against the people of Um Rukba and Khirbet Alia, aiming at seizing more lands to expand settlements.
