Irbid sees highest precipitation in 24 hours

Amman, The highest rainfall of 16.5 millimeters (mm) was recorded in Irbid in the last 24 hours as of 9 am on Sunday.

The Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD)’s monitor stations showed that Ras Munif witnessed 14.5mm of downpour, in addition to 7.6 in Baqoura, 6.5mm in Deir Alla, 6mm in Ramtha, 5.2mm in Mafraq, 4.5mm in Jerash, 4.3 in Salt, 1mm in Dulayl and Al Hussein Public Parks, 0.8mm in the University of Jordan, 0.6mm in Zarqa, 0.4mm in Madaba, 0.3mm in Queen Alia International Airport, 0.2 in Al-Ghabawy, and 0.1 in Azraq.

It noted that there was no rainfall in southern governorates and some central and eastern areas in the past 48 hours.
