Int@j’s MENA ICT Forum 2018 kicks off in September
The Middle East and North Africa Information and Communications Technology (MENA ICT) Forum 2018 is set to be held during September 10-11 at the King Hussein Business Park in Amman.
The MENA ICT Forum is organized by the Information and Communications Technology Association (int@j) in collaboration with the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology.
This year’s theme, THE NEW IT; INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY”, was inspired by the continuous innovation and evolvement of technologies that shape our economies and lives in virtually every aspect. From self-driving vehicles, hot solar cells, gene therapy solutions, smart cities, to face recognition and intelligent applications, new innovative technologies provide Jordan and the MENA region with tremendous opportunities. The MENA ICT Forum will explore global best practices and success stories by featuring leading experts in their respective fields and discuss how cutting-edge technologies can be applied to create economic and social opportunities.
“Innovative Technologies are the future”, says Dr. Bashar Hawamdeh, chairman of int@j. “IT” is no longer about “Information Technology”. The challenge at hand today is to use what tools are and continue to become available, and build innovative solutions that affect our economies, infrastructures, educational systems, and lives in profound and positive ways. Equally important, the MENA ICT Forum has become a leading regional platform for experts and stakeholders from all over the region to learn, experience, participate, engage, and expand their vision”, concludes Hawamdeh.
The MENA ICT Forum has been successfully hosted by int@j each other year since 2002 and transformed from a local conference (Jordan ICT Forum) into one of the MENA region’s most significant gathering of ICT experts, decision makers, and industry players. As such, the MENA ICT Forum showcases the entire MENA region’s ICT success stories, and discusses latest trends, opportunities, and future outlook.
The Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan (int@j), founded in 2000, is a membership-based ICT and IT Enabled Services (ITES) industry advocacy, support and networking association. int@j serves as the collective voice of the industry, advocating on behalf of its stakeholders and seeking to maximize the contribution of the ICT sector towards Jordan’s national economy. As the representative of Jordan’s ICT and ITES sectors, int@j supports its members with the tools they need continuously grow and expand.
