Interior ministry, US homeland security department sign joint cooperation statement

Jordan and the U.S. Tuesday signed a joint statement on cooperation between the Jordanian Ministry of Interior and the Department of Homeland Security to make travel procedures easier for Jordanians.

The joint statement was signed by Jordan’s envoy in Washington D.C. Dina Kawar and the commissioner of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection in the Homeland Security Chris Magnus.

The statement took into consideration the joint interests between the two countries in making travel procedures for Jordanian nationals easier provided they are eligible for the “Global Entry Programme.”
