Interior minister, Egyptian envoy discuss rectifying workforce status

Minister of Interior Ghaleb Zu’bi on Monday discussed with Egyptian Ambassador to Amman, Tariq Adel, ways to foster bilateral cooperation, especially in security and police domains and mechanisms to rectify Egyptian workforce status in the Kingdom.

During the meeting, the minister said the “historic” relations have always been a source of pride to the two brotherly peoples and deemed distinguished for their goals and strategic vision.

On the workforce rectification, the minister noted Egyptians working in the country need to obtain legal work permits, and voiced keenness to preserve Egyptian workers’ interests and to support them in all possible ways.

He also expressed his ministry’s readiness to overcome any impediments facing Egyptians here under its jurisdiction.

Adel, for his part, said his talks with the minister is a bid to bolster bilateral ties in the various fields and lauded Amman’s stance to back Cairo under all circumstances and highlighted care provided to Egyptians working in the country.
