Increasing digital Arabic content key for Jordan-India investment ????? minister

Minister of Information and Communication Technology, Majd Shweikeh, has said that boosting online Arabic is key for Jordan’s investment to foster cooperation with Indian corporations as around 3% of the total global online content is in Arabic.

In remarks the minister made while taking part in the Jordanian-Indian business forum, which was convened in New Delhi Wednesday, she underlined the south Asian nation’s interest in Arabization of content, security and protection of information and financial and technical matters. Shweikeh also said that Jordan could be a hub for information technology companies to access regional markets.

The minister noted the important meetings which the Jordanian delegation held with representatives of Indian companies as well as visits made to emerging firms.

She also said that an invitation was extended to Indian companies to visit Jordan as soon as possible to hold a forum in order to foster cooperation.
