Human resources ‘key’ to achieve public sector modernization-Shraideh

Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of State for Public Sector Modernization Nasser Shraideh, said Public Sector Modernization Committee views human resources as a “key” component of the 7 main pillars contained in the modernization map aimed to achieve development process.

Shraideh added that a comprehensive human resources strategy is a “key” requirement to modernize public sector aimed to set a future vision, identify required needs and competencies and focus on addressing current and future challenges, which would launch the desired public sector in the next ten years in terms of quality HR and jobs.

Shraideh made the remarks during the consultative workshop held to outline a human resources national strategy for Jordan’s civil service apparatus, organized by Civil Service Bureau (CSB), with the support of the USAID-funded Governance Enhancement Project, which comes under “participatory” interactive events launched on March 15.

Shraideh, during the workshop attended by Minister of State for Legal Affairs, Nancy Namrouqa, said active engagement in dialogue to receive feedback from officials of public human resources departments on the proposal aimed to draft a “comprehensive human resources strategy in civil service 2023-2025” is a “significant ” issue for the future of the public sector and a “key” pillar in its modernization drive.
