House of 60-year-old woman infected with Covid-19 in Irbid isolated

Irbid, Epidemiological inspection teams, in the northern governorate of Irbid, on Saturday collected 450 samples of those who were in contact with the Covid-19-infected lawyer, his sister, her daughter, and of a 60-year-old woman who had tested positive for the novel virus earlier today.

Director of Irbid Health Affairs Directorate, Riyadh Al-Shiyab, told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that samples were sent to central laboratories in Amman for testing, and their results are likely to be announced within the next few hours.

He said that home quarantine procedures have been implemented for the house where the 60-year-old woman lives, adding that the epidemiological inspection teams are working to collect samples of those who were in contact with her husband, as a precaution, as he works as a barber.

Al-Shiyab noted that the woman suffers from several chronic diseases and is under treatment in the isolation department at the Prince Hamza Hospital in Amman.
