Hot air mass tapers off today

Amman, A drop in temperatures is forecast for Friday as the impact of the hot air mass eases off, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said.

Winds will be northwesterly moderate, picking up at times, the JMD added.

As of tomorrow, a slight drop in temperatures is expected, as moderate weather conditions prevail in the hilly areas and the plains.

The Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea will witness hot weather conditions, with northwesterly moderate winds.

Temperatures are forecast to range between a high of 34 degrees Celsius and a low of 20 degrees in Amman and a high of 33 and low of 21 in the northern cities.

Hot weather conditions are forecast in the port city of Aqaba, as temperatures will shoot up to 39 degrees, dropping to 27 degrees at night.
