Gov’t maintains cap on freight costs appraisals

The government on Thursday extended a defense order capping freight cost appraisals by the Customs Department for imported merchandise to September 30, 2022, according to a prime minister’s office statement.

The statement explained that the move aims to ensure stable supplies and stockpiles of basic commodities and foodstuffs as well as prices.
