Gov’t committed to package of procedures signed with former council of Teachers Association- says minister
Amman, The government stressed its commitment to the package of procedures signed with the former council of Teachers Association including the practice for the teaching professions, but the current council has turned against the procedures.
During a press briefing, Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Waleed Maani, said the government had informed the former council that any party has no right to turn against any signed agreements in order to enforce the principle of continued transactions between the parties.
State Minister for Legal Affairs, Mubarak Abu Yamin, said that Article 5 of the Teachers Association Law stipulates that the right of students to education is not harmed, and that what happened today is an explicit violation of this article.
State Minister for Media Affairs, Jumana Ghunaimat, said the government adopted a policy of openness and dialogue with all parties since its first day, and respect the right to freedom of expression in accordance with the Constitution and the governing legislations.
