The total number of global COVID-19 deaths surged to 5 million, as of Tuesday, according to the Johns Hopkins University.
The University, in its latest update, revealed that the current global caseload reached about 247.8 million. The United States accounted for the world’s highest number of cases followed by India then Brazil, it added.
