GAM carries out disinfection campaign in stores, streets
The Environment Department began disinfecting streets, stores and waste collection places in Amman, as part of measures to slow the spread of COVID-19.
Sterilization will be carried out regularly twice a day, said the Spokesman of the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM).
The municipality also sprayed bus terminals and public transportation, including six stations that normally served around 800,000 people per day before the outbreak.
The GAM is also reaching out to operators in the private sector to raise awareness on the importance of sterilizing vehicles and enforcing health precautionary measures to combat the virus, said Khalid Abu Alim, Director of the Transportation Operations Department.
