Free Covid-19 tests to recipients of AMAN app alerts, announces MoH

Minister of Health, Dr. Sa’ad Jaber, instructed Director of Al-Bashir Hospitals to conduct a free Covid-19 test to people who receive AMAN app alerts due to their contact with infected patients.

The decision comes in light of citizens’ complaints about their inability to conduct tests at their own expense, according to a ministry statement.

Speaking to “Petra,” Director of Al-Bashir Hospitals, Dr. Mahmoud Zreikat, said Al-Bashir Healthcare facility receives people using the “Aman” application, and notified by a moderate to high-risk contact alert.

This process aims to collect samples by the hospitals’ physicians and administer free test at their laboratories, Zreikat pointed out.

AMAN App, a mobile application, notifies users if they happened to be in the vicinity of a diagnosed coronavirus patient.
