FM visits Jordanian field hospital in Turkiye

Kahramanmaras: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi on Thursday toured a Jordanian military field hospital in Kahramanmaras, Turkiye, and reiterated Jordan’s commitment to aiding survivors of the devastating earthquake that hit Turkiye and Syria, killing and injuring thousands of people.

Checking on the hospital’s medical services, Safadi voiced His Majesty King Abdullah II’s pride in the hospital’s crucial humanitarian role in assisting the Turkish people in the ordeal they are going through as a result of the earthquake.

The hospital houses a medical staff of 110 doctors, nurses, helping professionals, and technical and administrative staff, as well as outpatient clinics, operation and resuscitation rooms, radiology departments, laboratories, intensive care units, and a sterilization department.

The Jordan News Agency (Petra) documented large numbers of injured people receiving treatment in the hospital. Several patients expressed their appreciation for Jordan for relieving Turkish hospitals as the country’s health system has been under pressure for more than a week.
