FM, US lower house delegation discuss cooperation
Amman, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, and a delegation of the United States House Committee on Armed Services on Sunday held a meeting in Amman for a discussion on Jordanian-US ties and regional developments.
The meeting touched on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and challenges facing the two-state solution, in addition to the Syrian crisis and the war on terrorism.
Safadi underscored the depth of the strategic relations between the Kingdom and the US, and praised the US for its support for Jordan.
In turn, members of the delegation valued the role of His Majesty King Abdullah II and his efforts exerted to achieve security and stability, and combat the scourge of terrorism, stressing the continued support for Jordan as a strategic partner of the United States.
