Safadi also said Jordan has nothing to do with the Rukban refugee camp on the Syrian-Jordanian border and said the solution was in the return of the refugees to their places freed from Daesh terrorist group.

The minister also commended the support extended to the Kingdom by the international community, but cautioned against dwindling assistance that would affect Jordan’s ability to maintain its usual level of service provided to the refugees.

He also stressed the importance of the Jordan-UN partnership in facing the ramifications of the refuge crisis. Further, Safadi thanked the EU and the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini for assisting Jordan and taking up the cause of the refugees.
