FM, Kosovan counterpart discuss cooperation, regional developments
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi and his Kosovan counterpart, Meliza Haradinaj, discussed on Wednesday, ways to strengthen bilateral ties, cooperation in facing the Covid-19 pandemic and regional developments.
Speaking over the phone, the duo stressed the mutual keenness to develop cooperation in various economic, cultural, trade and defense fields, efforts to combat terrorism, and continued coordination aimed to sign bilateral agreements that would provide a broader horizon for joint cooperation.
Haradinaj appreciated the Kingdom’s assistance to help Kosovo fight the Covid-19 pandemic and lauded His Majesty King Abdullah II’s key role to enhance security and stability.
Safadi briefed Haradinaj on developments related to the Palestinian cause, and efforts to turn the international position rejecting Israel’s annexation plan into global moves to prevent its implementation.
In this context, Safadi spoke to Haradinaj on efforts aimed to re-launch “serious and direct” negotiations to resolve the conflict on the basis of a two-state solution in accordance with international law.
The two ministers confirmed continued consultation and coordination regarding common issues and regional developments.
